Visible Solar System

I guess the first thing that come to mind with the Visible Solar System is that it's definitely not a game! It's a computerised animated presentation of our solar system. This program will let you see the objects that you can see in our solar system by the use of a somewhat stronger binoculars or an amateur telescope. You'll also get some data about the things you see. The only exception is EARTH. Well, not really an exception, you get to see our planet daily, but never as a whole planet, just the parts of it where you live. Apart from other planets you'll also be able to see the presentation of their larger moons visible from Earth. So this program will basically show you what Galileo was able to see when he looked at the night sky, but with more details. And like I said, you'll also get the data about the distance between us and that place, the size of it and so forth. I guess this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but it's a very nice graphical presentation of the planets and more importantly, one of the first such educational programs out there. I mean, sure, you could see it all in books, but books don't have animation (although they do give way more information - or at least they did back in 1982). (info from lemon64) Get Price

Monster Trivia

Monster trivia is a trivia game for up to four players. Match wits with up the 3 opponents as you attempt to answer over 2000 trivia questions in six categories (show-bizz, sports, science, history, the arts, grab bag) to determine who gets to have "lunch" with the Monster. Unlike some other trivia games from that period of time, you have to type in your answers to the exact letter. If you're wrong, the Trivia Monster screams bloodcurdlingly or tries to break the door separating you from your "lunch date". Get Price
